Southern Off-Road Specialists Expanding to New Facility

February 12 2021

After 20 years at our facility at 843 McFarland Pkwy, Southern Off-Road is moving to a new location. Effective February, 11th 2021, Southern Off-Road Specialists is the proud owner of a  landmark near to the hearts of all in Forsyth County – Movies 400. This month, we will begin construction on the all new Southern Off-Road Specialists. As you might guess, there is much work to be done in order to turn the theater into an off-road shop. The first phase will begin begin on Monday, February 15th as we remove 12 theaters and over 2,000 seats in order to prepare for the transformation. Afterwards, phase two will transform the building into the full on custom vehicle shop. While the building will undergo a major interior redesign, we know the nostalgic value of Movies 400 and will be keeping the building as a whole intact. If all goes well, we plan to have our new building fully equipped and ready for business by August of this year. Take a look below at virtual renderings of our planned build out of the facility.

This move is a calculated effort that goes along with some exciting growth opportunities that have been presented to the business. With our projected growth trajectory, SORS will be one of the largest custom truck builders in the country in only a few short years. The Richmond family, who has owned Southern Off-Road for the past 20 years, is excited to launch the business into the next generation. Further more, we are proud to stay in Forsyth County and are excited about the opportunities that will come with our relocation to downtown Cumming. The past two decades have been very kind to our business and that’s all thanks to our loyal customers. We look forward to the next 20 years of building custom vehicles with you all.
