KEEP ALL YOUR VEHICLE'S FUNCTIONALITY
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, or ADAS for short, is the name for the family of systems the modern vehicles use to keep drivers safe and out of accidents. Systems such as lane change sensors, automatic emergency braking systems and adaptive cruise control work together to keep vehicles out of collisions. These systems rely on an array of sensors mounted on the vehicle. Southern Off-Road Specialists is the ONLY lift shop in the Southeast with the ability to do ADAS recalibration.
WHY DOES MY VEHICLE NEED RECALIBRATION?
Modern vehicles have multiple sensors throughout the body that constantly gather data and relay them to the appropriate systems in order to function correctly. These sensors are calibrated from the factory to work perfectly with your vehicles stock specifications (ride height, tire rev per minute, etc.). When a vehicle is modified, either by suspension lift, bumpers or other means, the accuracy of these sensors may be reduced, as they are calculating for parameters on the vehicle that are no longer accurate. When we recalibrate the ADAS system, the systems learn the new vehicle parameters and therefore function just as accurately as they did when the vehicle was stock.
